Going Extra Mile :)

So, this week at Amal I had to drop my resume and cover letter in person at a potential company. This task is all about going the extra mile and getting out of my comfort zone. I started searching for a job where I could apply on an immediate basis. I identified a job vacancy for a teacher at a private school in Lahore. I researched about the school, job description and found the contact number for the administration who accept the applications. I visited the school near to my house and met the concerned person. Then, I introduced myself with the help of my elevator speech; the practice was beneficial.

This experience was a great opportunity about how to implement our learnings from Amal academy. The challenges I faced: Hectic routine, Covid situation, Limited time frame to complete the task.

I overcame these challenges by making a timetable and following complete SOPs to prevent hazards of coronavirus such as wearing the mask, having sanitizer with me, and avoid contact with people.

Next time, I will try to manage time more efficiently and I hope that this situation will resolve soon so we can easily complete our tasks.
